There's more than one way to check your voicemail on the office phones at Alcorn State. You can access your voicemail using one of the methods described below:

Method 1: The Voicemail Button

  1. Press the Messages button (pictured below) on your telephone panel, then press the display key that says “Connect”

  2. Enter your passcode and follow the prompts. If you are accessing your voicemail for the first time, your default passcode will be four zeroes (“0000”), and you should record your name and a personal greeting for your callers.

Method 2: Dial '9999'

Dial your 9999. If you are calling from your office telephone handset, simply enter your passcode and follow the prompts; if you are calling from any other telephone, wait for your personal greeting to begin, and then press the “*” key to be prompted for your passcode.

Method 3: Dialing your Extension

You can learn more about using your own extension to access voicemail by watching the Acessing Voicemail section of the Telephone Online Training, linked below:

Voicemail to Email

If you would prefer to have your voicemail messages delivered to your email, rather than storing them as recordings in your voicemail box, contact the CITS Helpdesk by calling 601-877-2487 or emailing helpdesk@alcorn.edu to request this feature.
